Internet CME Activity

The American Society of Transplant Surgeons is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The American Society of Transplant Surgeons designates this educational activity for a maximum of 20.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Develop an understanding of how transplanting high risk recipients may affect outcomes and the availability of transplant.
Describe the selection criteria and management of various categories of high risk recipients.
Identify the approaches employed in high risk candidates to enhance their suitability for transplantation.
Discuss the issues surrounding transplantation of high risk candidates with respect to transplant center oversight and organ allocation.

All participants will view slides and audio of online presentation and then complete an activity evaluation and post-test at the end of the activity before being able to print a certificate of attendance.
